Kooltempo Toronto DJ Summer Weddings (July 2012) - HBCC

July is one of the most busiest months for Kooltempo Toronto DJ Service. We did two Weddings back to back (Friday & Saturday) at the Harbor Banquet Center in Oakville this month.

Second Wedding - HBCC, Oakville (Saturday) 

Location: Harbor Banquet & Conference Center (HBCC), Oakville, ON
Number of Guests: 35

Ceremony: Out Door / Private Location Close to HBCC
Reception: Indoor

This was one of the smallest weddings we did during this summer where there were only 35 guests.  Yet, it was one of the best organized and well thought out events. The bride and groom had taken a lot of  effort to have their wedding in a 'Hockey Theme'.  Of course Cake Topper was a hockey couple as well as the table cards also had a hockey theme. The kissing game obviously was also a hockey game...as well.

When setting up our equipment for this Oakville Wedding, the DJ ensured that the harbor view was not obstructed and we took extra effort to cover all cables to make sure the DJ booth was nice and tidy.  We initially didn't expect to have a full dance floor simply because of the small number of guests.  However they loved our music and the dance floor was packed.  Our Wedding DJ mainly played Top 40, 80-90's music along with Hip-Hop and Reggaeton.  We knew that the bride loved reggaeton music so we made sure some kool mixes were incorporate during the peak of the dance session.

Kooltempo Summer Weddings (July 2012) - Niagara-on-the-Lake

We are known as a Toronto Wedding DJ Service, however we enjoy traveling to the outskirts of the GTA when ever we have the opportunity to DJ for events.

This beautiful Wedding was held in Ontario’s wine country (Niagara-on-the-Lake) at Southbrook Vineyards about a 90minite drive from Toronto. 

The outdoor Wedding Ceremony was held literally in the vineyard (in the hot sun) and it may have been a little too warm for some of the guests. However, it was a gorgeous day and couldn’t have asked for more. 

Once the Wedding ceremony was over the guests all enjoyed cocktails and h'orderves in the comfort of air-conditioning and returned outside at approximately 6.15pm for the main reception.

The highlight of the reception was the introductions! The two MC’s entered the reception area dressed as ‘Austin Powers’ for the ‘Soul Bossa Nova’ theme song and made a brief performance before introducing the wedding party who all entered for individual songs with brief performances.  The Bride & Groom entered the hall for the 'Hawaii 5-0' theme song.

Overall the bride and groom knew exactly what music they wanted for the event and provided our Toronto DJ’s with detailed instructions for each activity within the event.  They mainly preferred rock / alternative music along with 80’ - 90’s music, Disco and a little bit of Hip-Hop & Top 40.  The DJ mixed the Top 40 music with some old school mixes which the crowd loved.  The dance floor was packed and the reception which was supposed to end at 1am continued till 1.45am as the crowd refused to leave the dance floor.

Kooltempo Toronto DJ Service Managed both the wedding Ceremony & Wedding Reception music for this Summer Wedding.  The Wedding Ceremony was held at the Casa Loma (Austin Room) in Toronto and the Wedding Reception was held at the Clairport Place in Toronto. 

There were approximately 200+ guests at the wedding reception and we mainly played Top 40 & Hip-Hop music as request by the Bride & Groom.  The introductions were classy and there were separate dance performances by the wedding party and a spectacular Dragon Dance during the evening.

Kooltempo Toronto School Event DJ Service: JSF Prom in Mississauga. Outdoor Equipment Set-up.

This was one of the smallest proms we have done in the recent past. Even though there were only about 60 students attending the dance floor (patio) was packed and everyone had a great time. We played all the latest hits along with some French dance music to cater to the audience.

The venue was the Radisson Plaza / Hotel in Mississauga and we set-up our equipment on the 3rd Floor balcony inside the Gazebo and our lighting was complemented by the beautiful lights that were installed by the venue.
